The narrator describes a modern city as he is walking through it. He describes the street scene and twice talks about wo men public lecture about Michelangelo. He is besides panicky to confront them and talk to them, and keeps insisting that on that point pass on be time. He describes yellow potty and fog exterior the house of the gathering.
